Artist Bio

From the time Lauren was in preschool, she knew she wanted to be an artist.  Though she continued creating throughout her childhood, she forgot about her preschool career choice until sophomore year of highschool.  She went on to get a BFA in painting and a minor in Art History from Miami University in Ohio, awarded the Outstanding Senior Award for the Fine Art Department. She also spent a number of weeks in Italy landscape painting with the Jerusalem Studio School under the instruction of Israel Hershberg. Lauren has done a number of commissions which hang in private collections as well as a large scale, oceanic diorama for the Karl E. Limper Geology Museum on Miami University's campus.  Lauren now lives and works in Denver, Colorado and is a recent recipient of an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant.
